Business Valuation Services Group
The BV Services Group meets every other month via conference calls. The Business Valuation Group discusses business valuation topics such as 409A, Equity Risk Management, and SBA lenders.
Employee Benefit Plan Audits (EBP) Services Group
The EBP Services group meets 3 times a year (November, May and August) via conference calls to discuss upcoming changes, planning strategies to execute those changes and exchange best practices for Employee Benefit Plan Audits.
Estate & Trust Tax (ETT) Services Group
The Estate and Trust Tax Group is another active sub-group to the NATSG. They meet every other month to discuss issues facing the accounting industry with estate and trust taxes. Topics include policies and procedures, software implementation and state law changes.
General Consulting Group
The General Consulting group is the newest HLB USA networking groups - established January 2010. This group meets every other month to discuss issues facing the accounting industry with consulting. Topics on new agenda include project management tolls and client questions on industry (i.e., cost reductions, ERM, Operation reviews, etc.
Human Resources Services Group
The HR group is a brand new group to the HLB USA Network. This group meets every other month via conference calls to discuss networking, recruiting, training, sponsorship and hiring, as well as other HR topics that are central to today's accounting industry.
IT Services Group
The IT Services group meets 2-4 times a year via conference calls to discuss the potential that new technology has to transform the accounting industry, compare and discuss new technology and software, and the changes taking place as new technology is implemented within a firm. This group is for internal IT staff.
Marketing Services Group
The Marketing Services Group allows the marketing professionals from member firms to discuss and share information about their firms, marketing strategies and other items that affect the membership of HLB. The HLB Tax Services group is HLB's most active and developed committee. They meet regularly via monthly conference calls, have discussion boards online, and an annual conference at the beginning of December during the North American Tax Conference - NATC. State and Local Taxes (SALT) Group
The SALT group is an active sub-committee of the Tax Services Group. This group meets every other month via conference calls to discuss state and local taxes and the multi-state issues which can be overwhelming on internal resources.
